This Same Faith…

‘The same faith that was in your grandmother Lois, your mother Eunice and I know that also lives in you.’ 2 Timothy 1:5

Leading a child to the Lord is the first responsibility of a parent. It doesn’t happen suddenly, it takes being deliberate and intentional and it pays to start early.

We cannot however give what we do not have. How do we introduce our children to a Father who ourselves do not really know? If we want our children to know the Lord, we must also have an intimate, personal relationship with Him too.

]I like the story of Timothy. Paul points out that this faith was first in his grandma, then in his mother and now found in him. What will your story be like? I want generations after me to remember that there was a matriarch in the family who loved the Lord and others and the rest of the family followed suit.

The Lord is our Father, our Best Friend and the Lover of our souls. He is eager to reveal Himself to you. The beautiful thing is that a relationship with the Lord makes us better people in the long run. God loves us unconditionally, shows us how special we really are, encourages us to live our best lives and impact our world. This relationship is irreplaceable. I am who I am because of who I am to God and who God is to me. My relationship with Him is real and tangible. Without Him, my life will be completely miserable. God is indeed my life and that has totally changed my life.

How do we develop this relationship with God? Is it possible to develop this relationship with God? Is this even possible? Can God be real with you? Yes, it is. What can we do then to get here? It starts from telling God that you need Him and you need Him to help you desire Him. The next step is to spend time with Him by reading His word, speaking to Him and listening to Him. He speaks and He has so much to tell you. This is the beginning of the journey of intimacy.

You cannot live your best life without Him and you cannot raise global leaders and history makers without Him. Generations after you are depending on you. Most importantly, God wants to really know you and be your Father, Best Friend and the Lover of your soul.

Life is an adventure with Him.
